Declan suffered physical and mental illness throughout his short life, having physical disabilities and illnesses which often meant hospitalisation. Despite this he was on the outside a bright, beautiful and funny young man. Inside however, he was tortured to the point of taking his own life in part due to the serious lack of support, inadequate care facilities but most of all disconnected processes and communications.

We would like Declans tragic death to raise awareness around this issue and are seeking funds to help to take this further and get justice for Declan and to bring about change for others facing the same challenge.

Any donations will go towards the costs of solicitors to fight this cause and if there are any funds remaining this will be donated to the charity MIND.
