Delapre's Walk for Sam!

Sam is a former pupil of Delapre Primary School in Northampton. Sam was diagnosed with Leukaemia in February 2018. His has an aggressive form of Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia. The first 2 blocks of chemotherapy unfortunately didn't work. He then had 3 rounds of immunotherapy. He has had a number of prolonged stays in hospital since diagnosis with complications and had a bone marrow transplant in Sheffield (which is over 100 miles from his home) in September 2018. Sam's mum is also a former member of staff at our school and suffers with fibromyalgia. Sam's dad has recently had a heart attack too.

We, at Delapre, would like to show our support for Sam and his family (he has brothers and sisters too) by taking part in the Waendal Walk this May. Several members of staff will be walking various distances ( ranging from 6 to 26 miles). Any monies raised will go directly to the family, in order to help them with the day to day costs of living, here and in Sheffield, where Sam has prolonged hospital stays. No donation is too small.
