Story
A mother to me and to so many more a friend, daughter, mum & grandma-to-be.
For those of you who weren't aware, Diane fell asleep for the final time on 17th Jan 2019 after developing severe pneumonia.
The renal unit at St James' Hospital, Leeds, had looked after Diane since her kidney transplant over 35 years ago and continue to look after my younger brother, James, to this day! It is for this reason that we have chosen to support the unit and all their work daily to support the patients and their families - the cause could not have been closer to mum's and our family's heart!! ๐
To remember my mum, I will be running the Battersea 10k run, in a kilt, on my first birthday without her - 22nd June 2019...and hope to raise money for the renal unit in the process!
Could not appreciate more any donations made to the cause! No matter how small - even a pound would go a long way to making a difference to somebody's life, just as they have to us in the past!
