Don't have time to donate right now?
Story
In 2013 I took the incredible opportunity with my employer to move to India and support the set up of our off-shore business. Whilst there I met an amazing group of young people and became a part of Donate an Hour. A charity that does not want money but wants time, they want you to donate your time to come and spend time with the people they support. I took this opportunity to support them and spent over a year working with the kids in Sector 45 Gurugram.
During that time and my family members, the local community of Kilmarnock and surrounding areas supported in donating football kits, boots and various football gear, as I was travelling at the time it was easy for me to transport these back to the kids. These kids did not always have the ability to attend school and donate an hour offered a platform to teach them including literature, math and local studies. I brought physical education in to the curriculum.
I have since moved back to Scotland, I now want to go back to Gurugram and visit the children and see how they have developed over the last year, I plan to take with me more up to date kits that will be donated by various football clubs around Scotland.
*I am not raising money for this charity, I am raising an amount to fund my travel back to India to visit the kids I taught football to during 17/18 and deliver various donated items from football clubs around Scotland. Any additional funds raised will go to fund sporting gear for the children of Gurugram.
If you have read this far then thank you.
