I have set this up on behalf of my Mum....My Mum recently lost her husband, on the 1st November 2018. After being admitted to hospital, he was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Whilst Mum tried to come to terms with his diagnosis, his health very quickly deteriorated, after just 13 days in hospital, he passed away.
Mum has now been left with the stress of trying to raise the £2,500 down payment for the funeral directors.
Whilst she should just be grieving, she is in fact terribly stressed about raising the money. She has raised £1,600 by herself, from a small amount of money she had, going without herself and by selling goods from her home.
She has applied for a funeral fund, but that won't be processed in time, and will not fully cover the cost of the funeral. If she cannot raise the down payment by the funeral date,
Weds 21st November, the funeral will be put back! Which of course, she does not want to happen. This really is a last resort for her. If anyone can help in any way, she would be so very very grateful.
