Story
Elliot is raising money for 2 charities - Royal Manchester Children’s hospital and his school‘s charity “Culcheth to Soweto”. The money will be split equally between the two charities, unless people specifically state which charity they prefer their donation to go to.
Between Elliot and 3 friends - Sam, Tom and Callum, they are aiming to kick a football the distance from Culcheth to Soweto. (It‘s 13400 km!) They are meeting at Fred Longworth High School on 18th November for their first of several gruelling 5 hour sessions. They will be kicking the ball to each other across the sportshall. Spectators will calculate the distance the ball travels in each of the 5 hour sessions. To complete the distance, they will include all their football training sessions, matches played for their personal football teams and matches and training for the school football team. This will hopefully cover the distance of 13400 km over the year !!! The project enables children from Culcheth to experience life in Soweto in October 2019 and children from Soweto to visit Culcheth in July 2020. (Elliot will also offer a paper based sponsor form if people would like to donate but prefer to keep it off-line.)
Thank you to everyone who donates and for reading down to the bottom of this very long story!
