My daughter has recently been diagnosed with ASD and struggles with social interaction as well as sensory overload when out and about. She has always been an animal lover but she is very drawn to dogs in particular. Having researched I've found a local group that can help with training an assistance dog specifically to cope with her needs. The dog can help her when feeling unsettled or stressed, it will help with so many aspects of her ASD.

Autism dogs are trained in a unique therapy programme to aid the development of physical, cognitive, life and social skills, to support social interaction, and to regulate sensory issues and reduce anxieties and challenging behaviours – all wrapped up in a best friend for life!

I am a single parent, studying a foundation degree is software development in the hopes of bettering my career opportunities. I have recently lost my part time job due to lack of funding the charity I worked for so cannot afford the £700 for the puppy or the £700 to pay for the training of the puppy. Please can you help me provide the help and support my daughter needs to live a normal, well adjusted life as she grows and develops as an individual.
