As many may already be aware, we have unfortunately been unsuccessful in the Stanley Security competition, despite such a huge effort and enormous amount of passion and support from our wonderful community. While this is disappointing after such a huge amount of votes, we have decided that rather than accepting our wooden spoon status, as of today, we are launching our very own £10k fundraising appeal. We hope the whole community and all the voters that got behind the security competition can support our own campaign. If everyone that voted for us donated just £1, we would be able to hit our fundraising target and more.

How will we raise it?

We are announcing a series of events that will benefit the whole community, not just parents of the school. Our next adult-only event is on Friday March 1st and is an Auction of Promises with amazing money-can't-buy prizes that include for example, use of a private boat with skipper for the day in Henley. We will also be doing a '10k for £10k' run for all local runners to join in. What's it for? Will you buy the security equipment yourselves?

While a new security system would have been amazing for our school, in reality our most urgent need is for a new playground equipment system for both the Infant and the Junior School playgrounds. We don’t have playground equipment at the Junior school and at the Infant school, the old metal playground needs replacing. Physical play is crucial for the physical, mental and social wellbeing of children. Playgrounds helps them develop important motor skills, grow physically, problem solve, build social skills and encourages emotional development. This £10k will be used to buy two large playground centres - one for the Infant school and one for the Junior school, costing £5,000 each.

Auction of Promises:

The Auction of Promises event on Friday 1st March is not to be missed. Sponsored by Trampoline Park Rush, you will enjoy a specialist GIN bar, a delicious Thai meal from Farnham Common's Wokkido, a disco at the end for some dancing and some wonderful local company.
