Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "When a man dies, his deeds come to an end except for three things: Sadaqah Jariyah (ceaseless/continuous charity); a knowledge which is beneficial, and a virtuous descendant who prays for him (for the deceased)." [Muslim].

Hajji Akmal Hussain was a true man of Allah and the greatest blessing in my family’s life. On Friday 26th October 2018 he returned to Allah at the time of Jumu’ah in the best of ways and with a purified heart. He helped so many people, treating orphans and widows with so much love and always rushed to pray at the masjid.

I ask everyone to pray that he is granted forgiveness and mercy, that his journey back to his Creator is easy, quick and welcoming, that his grave is an enlightened garden of paradise and that he is given the highest abode in Jannat ul Firdaus. May he be in the company of the beloved ﷺ and drink from his hand at the fountain of Al-kawthar. May he be with the companions, saints, pious people who have attained the pleasure of Allah, his parents and family and may we reunite with him there one day. Ameen

He left behind a legacy - His wife who he treated like a queen for 50 years, 6 children, 24 grandchildren and a great grandson. We will never forget what he taught us, that it is not about what you have but what you can give to others. His character was an embodiment of the sunnah. We are content knowing he left in the most righteous way and that not one person has anything negative to say about him. Our life will never be the same, he was the anchor of our ship, the beloved of our hearts and king of our family.

Truly to Allah we belong and to Him we shall return!

We are raising funds to establish a Water Irrigation System that will enable poor farmers to access water throughout the year for their crop, also drinking water for poor and needy.
