Story
On September 17th 2018 my wife Sarah gave birth to our beautiful son Noah Edward, born sleeping. No words can describe the pain of losing a child and unfortunately the miracle of pregnancy does not always go how we all imagine it will, however Noah is and always will be a massive part of our family. Throughout our experience the support we have received has been incredible. The University Hospital of Wales maternity department and its’ staff have gone above and beyond providing Sarah, Noah and I with first rate care and handling the whole situation with dignity. It has been and continues to be the hardest time of our lives and we feel this is not something that should be bottled up or not spoken about. Stillbirth is much more common than people might think but it’s rarely talked about because pregnancy is a time of joy and hope. I will be running in Noah’s memory to raise awareness of stillbirth and to raise money for the Snowdrop Suite at The University Hospital of Wales in order to provide further support for other families going through this devastating experience.
I will be running the following over this year:
Plymouth Half Marathon 19th May 2019
Cardiff 10k 1st September 2019
Cardiff Half Marathon 6th October 2019
