Samantha is fundraising to support her trip to Hong Kong to present at her first international conference and to raise funds for the charity Cancer and Leukemia in Children (CLiC) to give children with cancer the opportunities to live their lives the way they deserve to. The Lydney Training Band are hosting a fundraising concert with guest soloist Thomas Dunne on euphonium, in collaboration with Samantha. As an early career researcher and aspiring academic, Samantha's attendance at the conference will be a lifetime opportunity to learn more about her area of interest, network with specialists in the field. It will contribute to a new project she is involved in that is applying figurative message research to advertising campaigns with Professor Jeannette Littlemore and a Birmingham advertising agency, Big Cat.
