4 People, 10 Days, 1000 Miles, 1 Very Good Cause
In June 2007, Tom, Ollie, James and Georgie are cycling from Lands End to John O'Groats to raise money for a cause close to all their hearts.
Tom's son Nicholas was born in September 2006 and was diagnosed with bacterial Meningitis at just 17 days old. He then spent nearly three weeks in hospital, during which time Tom and his wife Alex received invaluable support from the Meningitis Research Foundation. Nicko's long-term recovery is still uncertain.
Mary Hall (James's Mum) wasn't so fortunate. Initially diagnosed with viral Meningitis in June 2005, her condition worsened as this led into viral encephalitis. She was admitted to intensive care, but passed away on the 2nd September 2005.
Their stories are our inspiration for raising money to fight this potentially fatal disease.
