We provide inspiration and support to people seriously injured through sport

Story

On May 17th, we will set out on a ride of over 700 miles from Newcastle Falcons to Twickenham stadium in London, calling at every Aviva Premiership rugby ground along the way.  We aim to do the whole ride together but may do some days in relay.  There will always be at least one of us on cycling throughout.  We are cycling to raise money for 2 causes:

The Matt Hampson Foundation

As an emerging talent in the world of rugby, Matt Hampson's was rocked by a serious spinal injury sustained while training with England U21's.  The shock would last months, the impact forever. Paralyzed from the neck down Matt faced the toughest challenge of his life.

Drawing on the passion, grit and steely determination that defined him as a player, Matt saw his accident not as an end, but as a new beginning.  Through the Matt Hampson Foundation, Matt offers hope and inspiration to young people with similar injuries, sharing his experiences and devoting his life to raising vital funds for those in need of support.

Ashby Rfc U15 2014 Big Tour

In 2014, when they reach the U15 age group, the current Ashby Rfc U13's will embark on the tour of a lifetime.  As a fully inclusive club, we want every squad member to have the opportunity to come on the trip, no matter what their families personal circumstances.  Where they go depends solely on how much money we can raise along the way and the Cycle4Matt event is one of the major ways we are raising funds.

ALL MONIES RAISED WILL BE SPLIT 50/50 BETWEEN THE 2 CAUSES DETAILED ABOVE.
