Me (Gavin Sharrock) and him (Chris Graf) from Wiley-Blackwell, after taking some sterling advice from Bob Campbell, have agreed to attempt crazy charity cycling adventure in Madagascar with Prof Roger Kirby and The Urology Foundation http://www.buf.org.uk.

The funds you help us raise – whether or not we survive to tell the tale – will be directed to two excellent medical causes. We’ll send a chunk of your donation to support the good work of the The Urology Foundation in improving care for patients with urological diseases (like prostate cancer and kidney cancer, male infertility, erectile dysfunction and incontinence). We’ll send a second chunk of your donation to support medical causes in Madagascar, focussing on local hospitals and general medical care.

We’ll try our best to survive … we’ll ride more than 400km off-road through some of the world’s most ecologically rich jungle, highland villages and paddy fields, with luck avoiding the potentially poisonous flora and bloodthirsty fauna.
