On the 20
th
November 2010 we will be embarking on an arduous cycle across the diverse
terrain of Taiwan for Clatterbridge Centre of Research.
We start in the
Southern most tip and battle through mountains, valleys, gorges and canyons to
reach the towns of Fenggang, Zhiben, Wuha, Hualien and Taroko to the final
destination of Taipei. We cover a colossal 292 miles (470 km) over six
gruelling days and really need your support.
We are completing this
challenge for CCR in memory of Leah’s husband and our friend Mark Gorry. Mark
sadly passed away from testicular cancer on the 29
th November 2009.
Our challenge will conclude on the one year anniversary of Mark’s death.
During Mark’s year
long battle with testicular cancer he began to set up a foundation to raise
awareness and work towards raising £1 million for Clatterbridge and supporting
charities. We are proud to be completing this bike ride for Mark and his
vision.
