Story

PLEASE SPONSOR US TO CYCLE TO CANNES FOR A GOOD CAUSE…

OUR RIDE IS 6th - 11th MARCH 2008

5 DAYS | 1500 KM

We are cycling 1500km to MIPIM 2008 to raise money for four important charities: LandAid, The Tom ap Rhys Pryce Memorial Trust, Sarah Matheson Trust and Architects for Aid (A4A) and other charities added at the discretion of the Trustees of C2C.

A4A is the recipient charity, which will distribute equal amounts to the other charities. Cycle to Cannes 2006 was a great event and saw 17 riders raise £110,000. C2C 2007 attracted 52 riders and raised an astonishing £270,000. The C2C event for MIPIM 2008 will be 140 cyclists arriving in Cannes, so with more riders expected in 2008, we hope to increase our target to £500,000, if not exceed it!

The Cycle to Cannes ride 6 -11 March 2008 will have a rolling road closure from London to Cannes, which will provide fantastic cycling conditions. The relay, made up of three pelotons, will each ride a minimum of 100 miles a day in two sessions. A baton will be carried continuously by the relay the entire distance from London to Cannes and presented to Ken Livingstone on the C2C podium along with a cheque for the money raised for charity.

If you are a friend or relative of one of the riders then every little bit helps us reach our goal. If you are a company connected to the building industry then this is a fantastic opportunity for making a significant contribution to charity alongside MIPIM 2008.

Thank you for visiting the Cycle to Cannes fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor us online. Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is the most efficient way to sponsor us: Architects for Aid will receive your money faster and, if you are a taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you. When you make an online donation please say in the comment box which rider you are sponsoring.
