We did it again this year. Yet a few more runners. Everyone seriously enjoyed the day. I can't recommend this ultra-marathon enough. Maybe it's your turn next year.

The D-Day run is to raise money for military charities. Our preferred charity is the British Limbless Ex-Servicemen's Association. Run by chaps who have been injured in conflict, they are the long runners in the game who look after soldiers of all age groups from early on after injury for the rest of their days.

I do this run because I am humbled by the courage of those injured in conflict, particularly in the knowledge that we sleep comfortably in our beds because of their sacrifice.
