Hello all,

We have somehow decided to take on our fear of hights by jumping out of an airplane!!! Are we mad!!!

Damien, who's Dad past away Dec 98 and James, who's mum sadly past away Dec 08 both after having a brave fight against cancer, are both going to jump some time in September(exact date will be known nearer the time) and believe me niether of us are happy about doing it, but we will put our fears to one side for a very worthy cause.

The RAPS (Ram-Air Progression System) course is a two day static line parachute course at the end of which you will jump, on your own, from an airplane at 3,500ft. Who needs an instructor strapped to them? That's for wimps! You will receive full training before your jump, upon exiting the aircraft your parachute will be automatically deployed by the static line. Once the parachute is open and you have performed your safety checks, you will fly your parachute to the landing area and a safe landing.
