On the 2nd May it will be a year since my beautiful friend Hafina died of Pancreatic cancer. It was only 9 weeks and 1 day after being diagnosed that we lost her. Hafina was one of those wonderful people that could make you feel good about yourself and put a smile on your face whatever the circumstance. She influenced and inspired so many people in so many ways. She did this selflessly and effortlessly. She was such a gifted person who loved life, sharing such  wonderfuI times with us and her loving husband Glenn. As Godmother to our daughter Ellie, she was always at hand to give her those pearls of wisdom that many of us sometimes lack. I wish I could be much more like her. I miss her so much.

I will be running on the 31st May in the Bupa London 10000 to raise money for the Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund. Only 3% of those diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer survive 5 years or more and has the highest death rate of all cancers.
