For our birthdays this year, instead of the usual city break weekend away, we are embarking on Wainwrights famous Coast to Coast walk and hoping to raise monies along the way for a cause which has become close to our hearts in recent weeks.

The route starts in St Bees, Cumbria and crosses the Lake District, into the Pennines, through the Yorkshire Dales, the North York moors and finishes in Robin Hoods Bay.

Most walkers complete the route in 2 weeks but for those who know us well - we like a challenge so are aiming for 11days.

We will be walking/running the 182mile route which has over 8600m of elevation, carrying everything we need on our backs.

Our challenge starts on the 2nd December - so we should get some snowy peaks and very wet days!
