Update-25th May 2009
Unfortunately, due to personal reasons, I have had to put the trip on hold. I have managed to complete approximately 2/3 of the journey, and plan to finish the tour at a later date. Many apologies.
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
On April 24th I will begin a sponsored cycle ride of the entire length of the UK, from Land's End to John O'Groats. This will be my first cycling tour, and I will be cycling mainly along the west coast of the country. The plan is to cycle about 50 miles a day, winds and hills dependent! The journey in total will cover over 1,000 miles.
I currently volunteer for the Citizen's Advice Bureau and have come to appreciate more and more the service they give to both individuals and local communities. Many people are aware of the Bureau, but are unaware that it is a charity relying solely on donations to be able to continue its work, as well as the volunteers who staff its offices. I believe it is of vital importance that we all try to support this service as any of us may come to need the support of the Citizen's Advice Bureau in the future. Indeed, some of us may have already benefitted from the Bureau's help.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Citizens Advice gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor me now!
