Story

Thank you so much for sponsoring Yorkshire Cancer Research.

Unfortunately cancer is something that we will all meet with in our lives, whether it is ourselves, family members or friends.

I believe it is extremely important to raise cancer awareness and give the financial support that is required for research. Where ever you are in the world the workings of such charities as Yorkshire Cancer research benefit all of us and the results of the research are shared with the world's scientific community.

I have entered myself into The Marathon des Sables 2011, which is dubbed to be the toughest foot race in the world.  This involves running 6 marathons in 7 days across the Sahara desert.  I will be doing this in memory of my father who died from cancer and also to offer support to those friends who have been or are affected by cancer.

To date I am training on average 100Km per week and have recently started putting weight on my back which i can tell you is hard when doing these type of miles.

Donating through the medium of Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me and Yorkshire Cancer Research gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

Thanks a million for your support

Daniel
