Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I'm an avid fan of dog ownership in general. After growing up with dogs in the family and during my adult life I have owned 3 loveable Labradors with my current one being Charlie (a handsome Black lab pup)
Dogs bring something special to a home, and one of the best and most rewarding features is when a dog becomes someone’s friend and aid. This is where the Guide dogs for the Blind come in. A guide dog gives a blind person so much more freedom in life, allowing them to live a more human existence in a difficult world.
Although I'm not blind myself, through dog ownership I have experienced the joy a dog can bring into a person’s life. Because of this I am running the Great North Run with an aim to raise some funding for the Guide Dogs Association so that more people might benefit from such a worthwhile cause.
I know in the current climate it is difficult to give much money, but even if you can only spare a £1 towards this worthy cause, any donation is more than welcome.
I will keep everyone updated via these pages on my training and the event... with the help of my utterly bouncy Labrador Charlie.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
