Some of you know my 9 year old son Fabian has been battling lymphoblastic leukaemia since 2006.  He responded well to the first 3 years of treatment and spent 18 months in remission.  Sadly he relapsed in July 2011 and this led to him needing a bone marrow transplant which took place on January 27th, courtesy of his older sister who was a perfect match.  He has now engrafted and is on the long road to recovery.

Cure rates for leukaemia have improved fantstically, form 20% to 80% in a generation but more research is needed to undertsand the causes of this terrible disease.  My token fund-raising effort is a way for me to give back for what has benefitted my son and I hope you feel led to contribute to this.
