Our beloved husband and father Darren sadly passed away on the 4th November 2022 after a short and courageous battle with cancer. 

In April 2022, Darren was diagnosed with myelodysplasia (MDS), a rare form of blood cancer in which immature blood cells in the bone marrow do not mature into healthy blood cells.

Initially, we had hoped that he would undertake a course of chemotherapy followed by a bone marrow transplant. Unfortunately, due to complications caused by blood clotting in an artery between the heart and lungs, treatment was considered impossible.

Darren lived each day to to the fullest and was sadly taken from us much too soon. In order to continue Darren's remarkable legacy, we are kindly asking for donations to support a vitally important cause. MDS UK is a small charity that conducts life-saving research into a little-understood disease affecting thousands in the UK each year.
