Myself and a few other Lance Armstrong wannabes have entered this years Great Nottinghamshire Bike Ride, which is due to take place on 21st June.  Whilst most sensible participants have chosen the 'Lap Challenge' or 18 mile ride on what should be a leisurely Sunday, we have opted for the 'Sportive' 75 mile ride around parts of Nottinghamshire that i have never even heard of!!  This ride is apparently aimed at the more serious cyclist, and rumour has it that it is far tougher than a mountain stage in the Tour de France!!!!
