The Tour 21 will see a team of amateur cyclists ride all 21 stages of the 2023 Tour de France, one week ahead of the professionals - with the aim of raising £1m for Cure Leukaemia.

Story

Some of you may know that I like to ride my bike every now and again, but in June and July 2023 I’m going to pedal a little further than usual. Well, actually a lot further….

With an objective to raise £30k for Cure Leukaemia, I’m going to attempt to ride the entire 2023 Tour de France route. Along with 19 other team mates, I’m going to pedal around France to raise £1m collectively for ground breaking blood cancer treatments.

Cure Leukaemia is an amazing charity that has made a real difference to people’s lives, and that’s why I’m cycling 3500km in 21 days over 31 cols, and climbing 56,000m of vertical!

I am personally covering 100% of the cost of my participation in this event so that every penny I raise will go to Cure Leukaemia and the life changing blood cancer trials that they support.

Cure Leukaemia fund research nurses at 15 hospitals across the UK. These roles form the Trials Acceleration Programme (TAP) network giving patients, from a catchment area of 30m, access to potentially life-saving treatments through clinical trials, with plans to fund a paediatric network on the way.
