Dave's marathon adventure to the Big Apple!

Hello and thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

What started out as a way of getting fitter has ended up with me attempting to run my first marathon in New York on 2nd November 2008. I will be running for the British Heart Foundation in memory of my father. Heart disease is the UK's biggest killer and I have witnessed the devastating consequences it has. When I was 10 years old my dad died of a heart attack aged 44. Heart and circulatory disease is the UK's biggest killer and the British Heart Foundation is doing lots of work and research to combat heart disease and their work is making a difference and saving lives.
