I         630 MILES COMPLETED   1260 MILES   FINAL TARGET  SOUTH WEST COAST PATH   BOTH WAYS .

                                            STARTING  ON  19 MARCH   2010  SANDBANKS TO MINEHEAD

 Hi , Some days your whole body aches your feet are sore the pack feels heavier,you look ahead to the cliffs and distant headlands thirty miles away and think can i complete this walk. Then comes wonderful days in the sun .Camping on headlands next to sandy surfing beaches ,wildlife flowers birds of prey seals foxes ,the people you meet and walk with they all make up the South West Coast Path the longest walking trail in the UK. www.swcp.org.uk

So I am doing it all again the other way round Poole{Sand Banks} to Minehead {Somerset} in one go .Starting 19 March 2010

Yes I am still fundraising I have extended my page because you all raised much needed funds for ROWCROFT HOSPICE Torquay who provide free of charge care and support for people in South Devon living with life limiting illness their families and carers.

So please sponsor me now!   THANKYOU     Thursday 18 th march I left sand banks POOLE  in the rain and its been like that for over a week now im not one to moan but..........I have got to torquay living near here has been useful  reproofed tent changed boots showerd ,had a light day walk from Shaldon to Paignton now ready to continue with full pack for camping on trail   havenot met many on trail but the next section may be the same due to forecast. 149 miles completed.28th march.                did not think i would be ending my walk so early  had onother 25 miles in wet horrible conditions.As my medical problems created a situation where i ended up going backwards down some sections so i decided to retreat  from my horizontal moutain. total milage 820 miles. I WOULD LIKE TO THANK ALL WHO SUPPORTED ROWCROFT AND THOSE WHO WALKED ALONG WITH ME,  JULY OH.IKNOW I CANT GIVE THIS UP WALKED DARTMOUTH TO PLYMOUTH THIS IS A GREAT SECTION EVEN BETTER SECOND TIME AROUND .THATS ANOTHER 65 MILES BACK ON TARGET.13OCTOBER IM OFF AGAIN PLYMOUTH TO..............ILL LET YOU KNOW IN 2 WEEKS Well what a great eight days plymouth to penzance new boots new determination ,met some really nice people and was shown some great kindness by others .The first frosts made the camping alittle cool but anight in a yha, was much appreciated.Thats just short of 1000 miles done now i have done more but you cant count getting lost and detours due to tides and ferries. 260 miles todo.................FEBUARY 3rd 2011 i get a train at an ungodly hour  so i can start in PENZANCE really early most yha are not open ,so my little tent will be home again for another 19 nights you can denote to ROWROFT  any time.Update in 20 days time  273 miles or 114 hours of walking sounds ok to me    be well be happy...This has been a hard but a worthwhile eighteen days foul weather high winds but great walking.thanksto all who have supported me in this project.1260 miles completed many days camping such fun. you cancontinue to dnate until 20 April2011.
