Story

Charlie is Deafblind. You and I might consider this a considerable disability but Charlie is a tough cookie. He is extremely independent and so when I joked that we could run a marathon he thought I was serious! D'oh!

So what was I to do? I agreed to the crazy plan and we set about our training. First 5 minutes, then 10, 15 minutes and so on.

So on Sunday 14th May 2006 Charlie will run the Prague International Marathon, all 26 miles and 385 yards. He will be guided by "big mouth" Gavin Culverhouse, the Personal Trainer who said too much!

*****UPDATE!!!*****

Unfortunately, Charlie picked up a knee injury that prevented him from completing the tough training required to step from half marathon to marathon so reluctantly I withdrew him from training and therefore from running in Prague. However, he did run a superb 2hrs 9mins and 47 seconds at the Bath Half Marathon on Sunday 19th March! Therefore any more donations should be in the context of Charlie completing the Longleat 10K and Bath Half Marathon.
