It's time for Girl Power!!!

The girlies have come together in support of a great cause Help for Heroes and we will  be walking just under a half marathon on Sunday 30th May. We have decided to put aside all the things we love in life, like chocolate, cream cakes and beaching on the sofa and instead undertake a strict "boot camp" regime of training to get us fit.

We are known as "The Band Of Sisters" - the name came because we are all women or "sisters" and we will be wearing our Help for Heroes bands with pride.

In true military style, we will be sporting combat trousers and in order to fully represent the 3 armed forces, we will wear either red, navy or light blue tops. Our route which is just under a half marathon takes us via 12 pubs where will we will be "banging our buckets" to raise extra money on the day - however we can assure you that the only liquid passing our lips will be water....until we reach our final destination of Sheldrakes on the banks of the River Dee - where refreshments will be provided for the "sisters" courtesy of Helen Demetrios - owner of Sheldrakes.
