AMANDEEP DHANOA
For Marvin Singh Dhanoa!
Fundraising for Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity
Marvin is 12, academically well beyond his years, avid Gunners Fan, loves reading detective stories, loves rugby, tennis, food - always smiling, loves living life to its maximum with an insatiable thirst for knowledge!
For those of you who do not know, my Nephew Marvin was born with Gastric Oesophogeal Reflux. He was born without the valve which separates the stomach from the oesophagus. This meant food in the stomach was able to travel back up the oesophagus involuntarily and violently (projectile vomiting) and you can only imagine the damage caused to the lining by the stomach acid. As a consequence of the trauma Marvin has had several hernias, contracted Asthma and various other side effects from the strong medication he had to take...He has thus far Never Known Life Without Pain. Two months ago, Surgeons at Great Ormond Street Hospital performed a long, complex and life altering surgery on Marvin to correct the problem. The staff were amazing, not the insensitive drones like NHS hospitals, but incredibly caring, going out of their way to get to know Marvin, understanding his personality and making his stay as comfortable as possible. Great Ormond Street Hospital provides inspirational and world class care to hundreds of children every day. But they need to raise over £50 million every year to help keep the magic alive. So please dig deep and donate now.
