I have decided to run the Melbourne Marathon on 12th  October 2008 to help raise money for the Royal Marsden Cancer Campaign in memory of my Uncle, Gordon Dixon

Unfortunately Gordon lost his battle with cancer in February 2007, after five long years of Radiotherapy and  an operation to remove  a brain tumour.

The Royal Marsden treated Gordon throughout this time and put every effort into fighting this disease, but researching and treating cancer is a lifetime's work. And that's why i need your help. A gift to the Royal Marsden will go to work immediately, helping the 40,000 people who come to them every year.

Gordon was a wonderful, fun-loving, generous, kind and thoughtful person who is deeply missed.
