At DHL we like to ‘do our bit’ for charity.  At the beginning of this year we (the UK Healthcare Team) decided we needed to set ourselves a challenge to raise as much cash as possible for some worthwhile causes.

 

This September our team will be walking Hadrian's Wall.  We'll be covering 84 miles in 3 days, that's an average of 28 miles a day!  We're raising money for Great Ormond Street Hospital.  Our target is £4,000. 

 

UPDATE - WE DID IT!

 

Following one day of 11.5 hours of walking and two days of 12.5 hours of walking we completed the walk at just after 8.30pm on Saturday 11 September 2010. 

 

We all found the challenge extremely hard both physically and mentally but it was worth it in the end as we have raised so much money for charity.

 

A big thank you to all those who have donated – we certainly appreciated your support during those painful hours of walking!

 

 Now it's time to hang up the walking boots for a while...
