On Sunday 27th November 2005 I threw myself out of a plane from 10,000 ft!! I fell through the air for 1 mile at 120 mph before the parachute canopy opened and the wind gently carried me down to earth.

And why did I scare myself silly?!?

About 7 years ago, someone I was close to was cruely snatched from her family by meningitis and septicaemia. Janice Munday was a fun loving, active woman who loved everything from a gentle stroll in the country, to scuba-diving and skiing!!

In October 1998 meningitis took Janice's life but her spirit and love of life lives on through her family. I wanted to do something to help prevent another family losing a loved one to meningitis and as Janice was such an out going character I didn't want to do anything boring like a run or a sponsored swim! I wanted to do something exciting, something I thought I could never bring myself to do.

The Sky Dive has to be the most amazing thing I've ever done and I think Janice would have been proud. So what do I want you to do?  I now have until the end of January to raise as much as I possibly can for Meningitis Research Foundation through my Sky Dive.
