I will be part of a team of 7 intrepid adventures who have committed to travel from the UAE to Nepal in March 2014. We will take on the mighty Himalaya’s and aim to reach the summit of Gokyo Ri (5,357m), standing opposite to Mount Everest. The trek will take approximately 2 weeks to complete.

I am doing this to raise funds and awareness for a UK based charity organization that deals with Duchene’s Muscular Dystrophy, details can be found at www.harrisonsfund.org. There are 420 known cases in the UAE and the money raised will help fund research to find a cure for this tragic disease which effects only boys. They are diagnosed at 1 years of age and tend not to live past the age of 22-24, as the disease effects the muscles. They are in wheel chairs around the age of 14 and the heart gives away as the last major muscle some years later.

Every penny counts and every donation will go a long way.
