We research cures for childhood cancers to ensure that more children survive!

Story

Thanks for visiting The Directorate of Sport's fundraising page.

On Tuesday 16th December Dr. Philip Graham-Smith and 10 students from the 3rd year Applied Sports Science degree will be attempting to swim 2008 lengths to raise money for our charity 'KidsCan' - the children's camcer research centre based at The University of Salford.
Throughout this semester we've been taking a look at how we can modify swimming technique to make ourselves more efficient through the water - now we're putting the theory into practise!
Some of the group couldn't swim very far before this semester and now they're planning on swimming 100 lengths or more.
We'll have 2 lanes in the Tom Husband Leisure Centre from 8am til 6pm.
We're hoping to raise £2008 for this fantastic charity.
Please support our latest event to add to the £6500 we've raised over the last 2 years.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: KIDSCAN gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor the team now!
