On October the 8th I'll be shipping off to darkest Hampshire for the weekend to take part in the British Red Cross Disaster Response Challenge. 

The aim of the weekend is to experience the challenges and issues faced by the Red Cross' Emergency Response Units when they hit the ground in a disaster area. 

From friday night to sunday evening I'll be put through my paces in a disaster scenario that unfolds in real time.

I've already been warned to bring warm clothes (lots of them) and be prepared to rough it out on a concrete floor.  Doesn't sound like it's going to be a relaxing weekend...

It would be amazing; truly, truly amazing if you could donate a little cash to my fundraising target.   The money raised will go towards supporting the British Red Cross' ability to maintain teams of volunteers who are prepared to drop everything and fly to disaster areas at no notice.
