Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
Its that time of year again for the Sheffield half marathon and on Sunday 25th April team DLA Piper is running in support of the Sheffield Royal Society for the Blind. SRSB is an independent charity, one of Sheffield's oldest, formed in 1860. They work to support visually impaired people of all ages in the Sheffield area by providing a high quality programme of welfare, education, training, recreation, counselling and care services both in their 'Mappin Street Centre' and in the community.
They support over 3,000 people with sight loss through our community based services, around 250 of whom attend the centre on a weekly basis. At Cairn Home their residential home in Crosspool, they care for up to 30 elderly blind or visually impaired people. They are an entirely voluntary society which does not receive any government or local authority grants and we rely entirely on the generosity of the general public and local businesses.
In the SRSB 150th year we are hoping to raise over £1500 so please give generously.
