We pioneer life-saving cancer research to help us beat cancer

Story

On the 13th June 2006 the Underground Masker (a.k.a Anthony Smith) and his nifty accomplice The Station Master (a.k.a Adham Fisher) will attempt to pass through all 274 (to be confirmed) London Underground stations in the fastest possible time, hoping to beat the current Guinness World Record of 18 hours, 35 minutes and 43 seconds, whilst raising lots of money for Cancer Research UK (www.crc.org.uk) in memory of my Auntie Helen who sadly passed away last year.

Will they or will they not reach the end? Will some unforseen station closure or problem on the Underground cause them to finish short of the finishing line? Will they beat the World Record time?

June 13th will reveal the answers!

UPDATE!

After a cracking good start in the morning, Ant and Adham soon faced multiple line suspensions, meaning they could no longer follow their route... Then, they got delayed for a whopping half and hour at Baker Street...achievement of the record was looking grim... Then, to top it all, the heavens opened, leaking through station ceilings, caking the trains when they were above ground and flooding roads and paths. Nevertheless Ant and Adham battled it out as far as they could, achieving an admirable 152 stations. Thankyou to them both, and thankyou all sponsors who donated!

We still need more money to get closer to our target, so if you were thinking of sponsoring Ant and Adham but didn't get round to it, you still can! This page will be open until 13th August!

All donations welcome, no matter how small. Every little helps!
