Story

On 1 July 2011, a group of Doncaster fans will set off on a 57 mile sponsored walk challenge; from the Keepmoat Stadium, Doncaster to the Spotland Stadium, Rochdale.

The walk is scheduled over three days and is aid of the Steve Prescott Foundation and Doncaster Rugby League Supporters Trust; two causes very close to our hearts.

Those confirmed to be walking are;

Darryl Clarke
Keeley Thompson
Michelle Palmer
Karl Grainger
Martin Wilson
Tracey Armstrong

The Doncaster supporters will be leaving the Keepmoat Stadium, Doncaster at 8.00am on Friday 01 July 2011 and pursue the following route;

 ·         Day 1 – 25 miles, overnight stop at Midgley Lodge Motel, Wakefield

 ·         Day 2 – 16 miles, overnight stop at Fleece Inn, Barkisland

 ·         Day 3 – 12 miles, Rochdale.

On Day 3, the group will be joined by representatives of Rochdale Supporters Trust, and respective club mascots on route to the game between Rochdale and Doncaster (3.00pm KO)

All monies raised will be split between the Steve Prescott Foundation and Doncaster Rugby League Supporters Trust.

The Supporters Trust will be running a coach to the game at Rochdale on Sunday 3 July 2011, for those wanting to offer their support on the final leg and support the boys to a win.

We are hoping to raise as much as possible for two fantastic causes, and we look forward to your support.
