Edinburgh Marathon 2006 · 11 June 2006 ·

We’re the UK’s leading charity for Crohn’s and Colitis. Right now, over 500,000 people in the UK are living with a lifelong disease that many people have never heard of. We’re working to improve diagnosis and treatment; to fund research and to raise awareness.

Story

hi all, well............. we did it :-) the four of us all travelled up to edinburgh on saturday, had some of nayans world famous porridge (uncooked) for breakfast early sunday and crossed the start line just after 9 a.m. there was a good atmosphere in the crowd but weather conditions were more for sunbathing than running a marathon.temperatures reached over 23 c but with nayans strong support during , and sarahs & julies before and after the race, we completed in 5hrs 30 mins. i think we managed a personal best in water volume consumption though!!! so i think i'll be taking the next few weeks off and then get back into training for the next venture.... the coast to coast mountain biking event. this involves traveling about 130 miles, during aug bank hol, from the lakes to newcastle in 3 days. i know , i think the sun did fry my brains a big thank you to all who have already donated and this web page will still be active for another few weeks for anyone who hasn't but would still like to. .Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: The National Association for Colitis and Crohn's Disease - NACC will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor me now!

thanks once again for your support cheers guys dave
