Story
hi all,
well............. we did it :-)
the four of us all travelled up to edinburgh on saturday, had some of nayans world famous porridge (uncooked) for breakfast early sunday and crossed the start line just after 9 a.m.
there was a good atmosphere in the crowd but weather conditions were more for sunbathing than running a marathon.temperatures reached over 23 c but with nayans strong support during , and sarahs & julies before and after the race, we completed in 5hrs 30 mins. i think we managed a personal best in water volume consumption though!!!
so i think i'll be taking the next few weeks off and then get back into training for the next venture.... the coast to coast mountain biking event.
this involves traveling about 130 miles, during aug bank hol, from the lakes to newcastle in 3 days.
i know , i think the sun did fry my brains
