14 highly tuned Athletes and friends have formed together to create possibly the best Dragon boat team the London docklands and the world has ever seen to raise money for Back-Up!!! www.backuptrust.org.uk
Back-Up supports spinally injured people by exchanging hospitals for lakes and mountains, wheelchairs for boats and skis . Frustration and anger for achievement and fun by running a year round programme of activity courses that are challenging events for able bodied and spinally injured people. It helps them realise that life is still out there after becoming paralysed.
The Back-Up Trusts Dragon Boat Race is a rigorous heats race, which while raising money for Back-Up, we hope to cruise to victory over our corporate rivals!
Every day, 3 people across the UK will suffer a life changing spinal cord injury. You have a chance of helping those 3 people. Today 3 people are coming to terms with their injury, contemplating that from today, their lives will never be the same. With your help our volunteers can show them that life might not be the same, but it can be just as good if not better.
