I'm tremendously excited to be finally doing it after years of promising myself that I would.  I know that  it will be worth it and you will be supporting a fantastic organization and will help make a difference to many people's lives. 

Oxfam works directly with people around the world, helping them to get better health care, such as through making HIV medicines more widely available.
Oxfam funds humanitarian work in areas such as the current crisis in HAITI, of conflict areas such as Darfur in Sudan, providing clean water and basic sanitation.
Oxfam also support improved access to education in poor countries where there are inadequate facilities or insufficient teachers.
