R;pple Suicide Prevention went live in September 2021, after the founder, Alice Hendy lost her brother Josh to suicide. She discovered Josh had been researching techniques to take his own life via harmful internet searches, so set up the R;pple extension with the aim to ensure more help and support is given to individuals searching for harmful content online.
R;pple is a digital tool, which if a user searches for harmful content
online, they will first be guided through a filter of breathing exercises and then very simple, uncluttered and calmly presented strategies and forums, help lines and mental health services they can access both now and longer term: accompanied with messages of hope and encouragement to keep safe.

Your donations to this charity will ensure this extension can be
improved, and implemented onto ALL web browsers, including those on mobile phones (where most internet searches come from under 20’s) worldwide.
This is something that hits extremely close to home for me, so it’s a charity I definitely want to get behind.
Any donations made before, during, or after the stream will be greatly
appreciated.
The Stream
I stream 3-4 days a week already, playing World of Warcraft mainly.
I stream drunk. It's kinda my thing, so I'll be *trying* to stay sober for this 24hour stream so I can raise as much money as possible.
After hearing about R;pple Suicide Prevention and the work they’re doing, I’ve decided to do a 24hour charity stream to raise money to help them get the funds they need to improve the extension & help get it out to the entire world (it’s currently UK based) and onto ALL web browsers, including Safari on iPhones etc, as currently as much as 95% of teens have access to a smartphone.
There’s a number of ideas floating around as to what I’ll do during this stream to stop it from being boring, so feel free to get involved in the discussion on my Discord server - There is no such thing as a bad suggestion, I’m pretty much up for anything – within reason!
Currently we're looking at Raffles & giveaways to people that donate within a certain timeframe, a forfeit round, where people that donate can decide what kind of forfeit I have to do, and a "fat gamer fitness round" where donations during a certain time will equate to how many press-ups, sit-ups or burpees I have to do! (Please don't donate during that time, I don't like exercise!)
The stream will run from 11ST on Thursday 31st March, and will go for the full 24 hours. I don’t particularly want people to
subscribe to me during this time, I’d rather you used the money to donate directly via this page.
