I have sustained an injury to one of the deep postural in my bottom area which means that I wont be able to run the marathon this year. Heart have agreed to role my place and sponsorship to the 2009 marathon, thanks for your support and fingers crossed for 2009.

Who would have thought it was possible that i would even think about running the marathon, i have to admit it sounds a little crazy and I will probably be regretting it on the day !

I am running the London Marathon for HEART UK, a charity concerned with working to raise awareness of High Cholesterol and Heart Disease. I am sure you get lots of chances to donate to charities and sorry if you are bombarded but, If you feel like donating then I and HEART UK would really appreciate any donations you make.

Also, many employers (eg, UBS) run a matched giving scheme where they will match employees charitable donations. These schemes will enable you to effectively increase (often double) the amount of your contribution at no extra cost to yourself ! If you are going to be doing matched giving then please send me the forms (10 Dynevor Road, Richmond. TW10 6PF) and I will send them on to the charity. The charity will  not get the matched contribution without the forms !
