St Cuthbert’s Hospice provides specialist care to people with life-limiting illnesses, people approaching the end of life and the bereaved. We make no charge for our services, ensuring Hospice care is available to everyone. It costs over £2 million each year to keep St Cuthbert's Hospice running.

Story

Hello and thankyou for taking the time to visit the DUSC charity fundraising page.

Two Durham University Swim Team members, Tom Kirk (St Cuthberts) and Matt Seegelaar (Hild Bede) are undertaking the 2006 UK Ironman Triathlon, one of the most gruelling endurance tests around, in order to raise money for St Cuthberts Hospice, in close partnership with DUCK.

The Ironman Triathlon involves a continuous 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike ride, and  26.2 mile run, taking place on August 20th. Our involvement in this contest could not have been made possible without the close support of Durham Univerisity Charities Kommittee who have kindly agreed to help us financially.

This page is to appeal to you to give generously to a very deserving charity (please see the link to find out more) through DUCK. Both of the competitors are going to great lengths to raise money and we hope that you feel the efforts are worthy of your valuable donations.

Thankyou very much for your generousity

Many thanks for your support.
