"Always fun, always together and always to help not hurt, to encourage not hinder, to be inclusive not exclusive".

These are words inspired by our dear brother, friend and fellow pirate Ed Cakebread in whose memory we endevour to go beyond the 26th mile. In doing so we hope to raise substantial funds for WellChild, a national charity who also knows about going that extra mile! Wellchild's work helps sick children and their families to manage the consequences of serious illness and complex health conditions. Their commitment to providing Care, Support and Research enables doctors, nurses, scientists, carers and families to make practical and postitive differences to the lives of these children who face serious health challenges.

It is with this in mind that we set out towards the 26th mile and hope that together, with your help, we can prosper in fun and funds along the way!

Hi all, So we are into the final week!

It has been tough and gritty and we have been so sad to have to have lost some of our lovely originals, but have welcomed the heroic friends, Ed Playfair adn Bethan Patching who have stepped up to take their place. 

So with the training near completion we will be wrapping ourselves in cotten wool and stuffing our faces with pasta to prepare for the big day. We are filled excitable nerves, and 100% motivated by all the wonderous support from friends, family and colleagues.
