We support families of disabled children to fund much needed equipment/care

Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.

On the 11th of June, I will be taking part in a 'Tandem Skydive' from 10,000 Feet...

I will be raising money for James a 12 year old severely autistic boy who can not communicate very easily. He cannot tell if he is feeling unwell or is in pain, he will just cry and become aggressive and frustrated. He has trouble sleeping and only sleeps for up to four hours at a time.

As you can imagine this is very draining on the whole family.

'Over the Moon foundation' is trying to raise enough money to enable the family, who also have two other children, to have a break for a week and provide excellent respite care for James.

So please give whatever you can, and be safe in the knowledge that I am already terrified...!

Donating through Just Giving is quick, easy and totally secure. Its also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Over the Moon Foundation gets your money faster and, if you're a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation

So please sponsor me now!

About the charity

Over the Moon Charity was set up in 2008 to help families living in West Sussex, Surrey and Hampshire, who find it hard to meet the financial requirements of their sick or disabled children. We as a charity are acutely aware that whilst we live in this beautiful, affluent part of the country, there are still so many people struggling and living with difficult and trying circumstances and wishing to provide the most basic requirements for their families. We have, over the years, helped a great many families and offered a huge variety of support and or equipment, including: specialist and educational toys; making donations towards life changing treatments and operations unavailable on the NHS; counselling sessions; repaired and replaced broken equipment and household appliances amongst myriad of other things. Many of the families we work with are referred to us through Social Workers, who have very limited funding, which is why they approach charities like us to help with the shortfall.
