On 12^th December 2005 my daughter Eilidh was born 6 weeks early at only 3lb 15oz.

Thanks to the special care that she received she is now a healthy cheeky one year old.

In recognition of the support that we were all given in hospital, I would like to raise money for BLISS .

This is a charity that campaigns for improvements in neonatal care so that more babies survive and have the best quality of life.

This is why, on Sunday 22^nd April, when most of you are nursing a hangover, I will be running the 26.2 miles of the London marathon.

 Thanks to everyone who came to my race night as well as my sponsors who helped raise over £1100.

 

On Sun 22^nd April, despite very hot conditions, I managed to complete the Marathon in 4hrs 37min 53sec.

I would like to thank everyone who wished me luck.

I was hoping to complete the race in under 4 ½ hours so I plan to go back in a couple of years and try again.
